ICS in the News
2017 has been a great year so far for ICS as we have been in the news a number of times, including in publications that covered the Spring Budget 2017.
Following on from Phillip Hammond’s annoucement that the government had decided to scrap its plan to increase the National Insurances rates for the self employed, ICS Head of Compliance Martin Hall commented in Bdaily’s ‘National Insurance U-turn: North West business leaders have their say’ feature:
In March Martin gave his insight into how the annoucements in the Spring Budget will affect contractors and small businesses, which received coverage in The Global Recruiter, Recruitment International, In The Bay and Bdaily.
Prior to this, ICS Managing Director John Lyon was featured in Bdaily’s ‘Spring Budget 2017: What North West business leaders want to see’ feature, giving his expectations for the Budget 2017.
Following on from his feature in November about the planned reforms to IR35 in the public sector, our Head of Compliance Martin Hall recently wrote an update, covering the exact details of what will be happening from 6th April 2017, and what recruitment agencies should be focusing on now. This update was featured in both The Global Recruiter Magazine and Recruitment Grapevine.
In January, our Managing Director John Lyon was featured in the Lancashire Evening Post business section, giving an expert analysis of the IR35 reforms – specifically how they will have a huge impact on 900 public sector Lancashire firms:
In February, John also discussed how 90 Lancaster businesses will be affected by the IR35 reforms. This article was featured online in the Lancaster Guardian and InTheBay, as well as the print version of the Lancaster Guardian:
