On Saturday 19th July in a very overcast Salford Quays, three people from ICS took part in the Great Manchester Swim, swimming one mile in open water to raise money for three separate charities.

All completing the mile in less than 60 minutes, the team have raised over £2000, which is divided between St John’s Hospice in Lancaster, the Alzheimer’s Society and the Stroke Association.

Speaking on behalf of the team Anna said;

“Despite the dull weather the conditions, the support we received from the spectators was fantastic and kept us motivated. To complete the mile was a great achievement for us all and we have already committed to taking part again next year. Thank you to everyone that sponsored and supported us.”
