One of our New Business Consultants, Lisa Smith, took part in the Welly Walk for St Johns Hospice and Costain 150 charities last Sunday. The Welly Walk was a charity event where people paid to walk the route of the underconstruction Heysham to M6 Link Road – all proceeds went to charity, and Lisa herself organised her own sponsorship and managed to raise £650. Along the route there were huge diggers, giant bridges and the biggest crane in Europe! The walk was a success as around 2700 people turned up to walk the 4km route! It took Lisa a total of 1 hour and 10 minutes, and Lisa said of the walk:

“It was a great way to see the layout and all the new structures they are implementing to improve the flow of traffic and a direct connection to Heysham. It wasn’t a challenging walk, more so just a bit of fun and a good way to raise some funds for the much needed charities”.
